Description of Project
- Revegetation planting of 40,000 native trees and grasses on former pastoral land
- Development of public parks and nature walks
- Streetscaping including street trees and edging
- Waterway rehabilitation and revegetation
- Weed management
- 36 month maintenance period on all revegetation works (10ha)
- Annual monitoring reports to document progress and site conditions against set performance criteria.
Outcomes
- All works carried out by suitably qualified and experienced staff
- All plants and tubestock inspected for quality prior to purchasing and installation
- All tasks were planned and co-ordinated around climatic conditions ie planting was conducted through rain periods rather than dry hot conditions
- This site is highly regarded by Sunshine Coast Council
- The site was nominated for an award.
